Jack Peñate – Torn On the Platform

Jess showed us the music video for Jack Penates ‘Torn On the Platform’, which founded the groups inspiration to do a music video for a Frank Sinatra song. I like the home made asthetic that the video has, although I’m not really a fan of the whole puppet on sticks animation that has been used however – and I think that if we were to do an animated puppet show we would be better of to use a stopmotion technique as opposed to film.

I also think it could be quite cool to also use a more 3-Dimensional approach with the puppets too, as opposed to flat cut outs – although this would be very ambitious, as we would have to make a whole 3D set, as well as the puppet/s; and I don’t think we would have time to finish this form of animation.
